Embassy of Japan in Thailand and Glowfish are proudly co-hosting “Blend Batch 1” on October 9th 2019 from 8 am to 12 pm at Glowfish Sathorn.
At the Embassy of Japan, we have been actively creating opportunities for collaboration between Thai corporate giants and Japanese start-ups through our platform of “Open Innovation Columbus” program.
We have also been making efforts in matching Japanese business in Thailand to start-ups both from Japan and Thailand. After conducting preliminary events for this purpose, we have come to the realization that it is most useful to create a matching event focusing on a particular industry sector and also to invite not only the Japanese management teams but also the Thai national staff as the knowledge of local market is key in finding an actual project of collaboration.
This time, we are going to hold an event reflecting these lessons in collaboration with JCC (Japanese Chamber of Commerce Bangkok)’s electronic and machinery sectors with the participation of start-ups who have innovative technologies and ideas especially matching for these sectors.
We will give you an overview of Thai start-up ecosystem as well as the case studies of actual collaborations between Japanese business and start-ups. The participating start-ups are also going to give a pitch to introduce their expertise.
* The event is to be conducted in English.
* The event is for both Japanese and Thai Executives.
* The event mainly targets Electronics and Machinery firms but firms of other secors are also welcome.
