    The theme “Our Common Future” blends social and environmental issues and refers to our profound interdependence as humans on earth. The theme highlights the importance of finding a sustainable development. At TEDxChiangMai, we explore how to find common ground, raise our level of understanding, and create a commitment to action.

    TEDxChiangMai traces its origins to a small event in 2011. For TEDxChiangMai 2018, we will have 15-20 speakers and performers and expect an audience of over 1,000. The speakers are from different fields including science, research, business, technology, and the arts. The talks will be in both Thai and English - we provide a full simultaneous translation.

Our venue is the 5-star Le Meridien Chiang Mai Hotel – right in the heart of the city. The TEDxChiangMai ticket includes access to the event, coffee, tea, water, snacks, printed program, souvenirs, buffet lunch, and an entry ticket to the post-event party.

The event will be in both Thai and English, with a simultaneous translation like at the UN (but a lot more fun).

Our event is organized by volunteers, non-commercial (we do have sponsors but they work with us more like partners), and is not a fund-raiser (this is not permitted under the license policy terms.) We charge for tickets to cover some of our costs. The event is independently organized under license from TED (www.ted.com).
