With years of experience both abroad and in Thailand, The Comedy Club Bangkok has been bringing Improv comedy to Bangkok for over 5 years. We are the premiere Improv comedy in Thailand, with a focus on an accelerated learning system that gives participants the skills needed to get up on stage and make others laugh. This introduction to improv comedy workshop introduces participants to the basics of improvised comedy. A great way to build confidence for public speaking, and a fun way to meet great new people.

The fundamentals of improv comedy will be taught through experiential exercises that are fun and easy to learn. Being in the Moment, Letting go of Judgement, Acceptance, and other 'tricks of the trade' that allow improvisors to work together on stage, not knowing what the other players will do or say, and yet allowing for the creation of a scene together.

This second class in our Professional Improv Performance Program, introduces students to the theory of SCENE MOTORS in improvised comedy. 

When creating comedy on the spot, certain comedic forms can be utilized to drive a scene forward, these forms are the motors (the things that power the comedy of a scene).

This class will introduce students to the concept of scene motors, and will offer students some techniques and experience in identifying and harnessing these motors when they begin to reveal themselves during an improvised scene.

This program is taught through experiential exercises that are fun and easy to learn.

Students must have some improv experience, or have taken the IMP-101 Beginner Class to register for this class.

Successful completion of this class will count as credit toward our Mastering Improv Program.
